Prior to joining HAV Food, Mr. Kong was a senior executive with two local SME firm (UBAC, Essence-Singapore) heading the Sales, Technical and Business Development Unit (2007-2023). Mr. Kong is also a certified Data Centre Design Practitioner and Optical Network Specialist with key leading IT Component manufacturers. During his tenure Mr. Kong actively took part in a wide range of health care and hotel hospitality tech refresh pilot projects for various global hotel chains (such as Marriot International, Accor Group, Pan Pacific Hotel Group, Millennium Hotel Group, YOTEL Hotel and Jumeirah etc.), Global Banks (such as ANZ, VTB, CITIC Bank, FirstBank etc.), Large MNC and Singapore Government Agency.

Mr. Kong holds a 2nd Class Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queensland University Of Technology (Australia) and currently attending his last semester MBA in Business Administration from Wawasan Open University (Malaysia).

Mr. Tan’s career has been punctuated by a series of transformative roles in start-ups and challenging environments, where he consistently harnessed new technologies to enhance lifestyles and promote sustainable practices. Mr. Tan played an instrumental role at an IPTV Solutions company, where he oversaw the entire operational chain, collaborating closely with the Research and Development department and manufacturers to craft innovative solutions for clients. Prior to his pivotal role at HAV Food, , Mr. Tan’s influence extended to the Aged Care sectors during his tenure as Director of Business Development at Essence-Singapore, where he led a dynamic team in introducing cutting-edge technologies that revolutionized the Aged Care industry.

Mr. Tan holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Management from Edinburgh Napier University and has recently obtained the WSQ Food Safety Course Level 3 Certification.

Chew Chong Bee

CTO

Mr Chew has over 30 years of experience building and expanding Telco and IT Networking technology companies across APAC. During this time, he has remained at the forefront of innovation and new technologies, such as IoT, AI, and Big Data Analytics, to develop hardware and software solutions for industries as diverse as Telco, Hotel Hospitality and Aged Care.

 

He is passionate about assisting our elderly generation in remaining independent and improving their quality of life later in life. Chew, as Technical Director of Essence Singapore, is challenging the industry’s status quo and looking into the future of Aged Care and how technology can help us build a genuinely people-centric system.

Lyn Pang

CFO
With more than 10 years as a Financial and Operation team leader with UBAC Group (Malaysia, Singapore & Indonesia). Ms Pang has spent more than 10 years in Malaysia providing market research services for entities such as Tokio Marine, Kurnia and Anika Insurance etc. Prior to that Ms Pang earned her BA (Business Studies) from The Middlesex University in UK (London) and an advanced Diploma in Insurance from The Chartered Insurance Institute (UK).

Ms Pang started her Insurance Brokerage career, at MEC Enterprise (Malaysia) from 2005 – 2009 and in 2010, founded a boutique insurance agency, focused on Fire Insurance, Foreign Worker’s and Motor’s Insurance transactions. Ms Pang is a Certified Chartered Insurance Practitioner and a Registered Member with CII (UK) since 2010.

Bee Keeper, Founder - Bee Amazed Garden

John dedicated 37 years of his life as an educator with the Ministry of Education. His teaching career began in Yung An Primary School in 1979. He was among the pioneers who started the Science Room and Science Garden in the primary schools.

 

In 1991, he was among the 9 pioneer Singaporean teachers who started the one and only Singapore school outside Singapore, the Singapore International School (Hong Kong), and served in Hong Kong from 1991 to 1999 as the Head of Physical Education Department. Upon his return to Singapore, he was posted to Juying Secondary as the Head of the Physical Education Department where he successfully improved the physical fitness levels of the students considerably.

In 2003, he was appointed as the Vice-Principal of Zhangde Primary School where he served for 7 years as the champion of Positive Multiplying Attitude. In 2010, he was posted to MacPherson Primary School where he advocated Positive Behaviour Support, Family Life, and Dads For Life. As a firm believer of Restorative Practice, he successfully restored strained and broken relationships among the students, parents and staff while in MacPherson Primary School. He was also the heart and voice for the less privileged children and families until his retirement in December 2016.

 

After serving in the Ministry of Education for 37 years, John Chong is now the founder of Bee Amazed Garden and has his own brand of honey which he loving named it “MY HONEY.” In 2023, Bee Amazed Garden found a new location at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) and John is now an honorary fellow of Singapore University of Social Sciences.

Dr B.N, (STP., M.Sc., Ph.D.) Food Industry Technology

Chief Scientific Officer

Dr. B.N. work closely with The Faculty of Agro-Industrial Technology as the Chief of Food Industrial. He offers advice and assistance to F&B businesses and organisations looking to innovate and change their operations through the creation of new food services, technologies, and products and strategies.

 

He has been qualified by Research National as a reviewer and is a source person and expert for the Food and Drug Authority. Additionally, Dr. B.N. teaches food technology full-time at a respectable university and serves as an expert advisor for the fields of food material science, food engineering, food waste conversion, and food processing technology, including drying technology.

Along with his roles as Chief Scientific Officer and Head of R&D, he conducted joint research with top F&B companies to create and implement food manufacturing techniques. Having worked in the food and beverage industry for more than 20 years, he has significant expertise and a wealth of industry experience. Additionally, Dr. B.N. is a prominent member of the community’s public sector, lending his knowledge to help small businesses expand and create new goods based on agriculture.

 

Following graduation from IPB with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Food Science and Management and UNSW, Australia with a Master of Science (Msc) in Food Engineering, Dr. B.N. went on to UCC for his Ph.D. in Food Material Science. In a multi-disciplinary field like business executive leadership, innovation and design thinking, data science for senior executives, and technology, he keeps up his lifelong learning.
